This is part of the introduction to the book

Chapter One
She parked the car and stepped out. She didn't care if anyone stole it.
It wasn't hers. It was some lady's who decided to help her and asked
her to get rid of the car when she got a chance. She was seventeen
and on the run from a life she shouldn't have hadto. She sighed as
leaned up against car for a second. She was glad that the bruises
have faded away by now.
She had just turned seventeen two weeks ago and the birthday
present she got wasn't what she had planned or wanted. They claimed
the present to be a tradition. She sighed in disgust. Only werewolves
would think that. She was glad that she wasn't a werewolf. She was a
were-panther and highly afraid of herself. When she first changed she
had fur as white as snow and eyes as green as the grass. She knew
this because she had rented out a hotel room and looked in the floorlength
mirror that was in her room. The change didn't hurt either. All
she felt was a tingle.
