The
Beginning
Sliding into my
usual second row seat in first period AP biology, I
explain the
detailed events of last night to my best friend Daniel.
“I'm guessing
they have a kid because I heard the father going
'Damn kids.'”
David nods, engrossed in his notes. He's so studious.
“Do you think
it's a boy or girl?” he asks.
I shrug and nod
to Alex, my friend from the local ice cream store.
The family
who'd moved into the house next to mine was still brand
new. For the first time in almost four
years the lights were on.
